ABOUT

Hi, I’m Kim
Horses have always been a huge part of my life, and over the years I’ve learned just how much they communicate with us—often long before there’s an obvious problem.
That’s really where Soothing Hands Equine began.
Through years of working hands-on with horses, I started noticing the small things: changes in movement, tension, sensitivity, attitude or behaviour that could easily be brushed off as a horse being difficult, lazy or simply having an “off” day. More often than not, there was a reason behind it.
I created the Soothing Hands Equine Method because I wanted horse owners to feel more confident recognizing those signs in their own horses. You know your horse better than anyone, and when you know what to look and feel for, you can often catch changes before they turn into bigger problems.
My goal isn’t to make things complicated. It’s to give you practical, easy-to-understand tools that help you become more in tune with your horse and better understand what they may be trying to tell you.
Whether I’m working with someone one-on-one, teaching a clinic or guiding owners through my online course, my favourite part is watching that connection grow—that moment when someone looks at their horse and says, “Now I understand.”
Because at the end of the day, it’s about helping our horses feel their best and giving them the opportunity to do what we ask of them comfortably and happily.
